MAR, Incorporated (MAR), has been awarded a contract worth in excess of $40 million from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to support its information systems security certification and accreditation process implementation. The team is comprised of Force 3, Inc., Radius Technology Group, Lockheed Martin Information Technology, Number Six Software, Incorporated, R4 Communications and Van Dyke Technology Group, Inc, Thomas Security Consultants, LLC.
TSC provides a detailed team
by develop security related documentation and perform
the systems analyses required to obtain an Authorization
to Operate (ATO) for national security, intelligence,
and general information systems that will ensure
cradle to grave compliance. The MAR team will implement
an integrated approach to security services that
supports improved mission support, IT investment
management, and consistent and repeatable Security
Certification and Accreditation services for all
NRC IT systems.
Thomas Security Consultants supports the NRC staff
in the development and documentation of test plans
within the Rational Suite Enterprise that exercises
the system security requirements and associated technical
resolutions, risk mitigation, and implementations
that confirm the system controls in accordance with
NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-53 Recommended Security
Controls for Federal Information Systems, NIST 800-37
Guide for the Security Certification and Accreditation
of Federal Information Systems, and NRC System Security
Test and Evaluation Plan Template. TSC provides a
detail test procedures to ensure al IT security functional
and assurance requirements are fully tested, and
our procedures contain great detail that a technically
trained individual not familiar with the system can
successfully follow the procedures.

| Arlington,
Virginia- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has awarded
Thomas Security Consultants LLC. An Indefinite Delivery,
Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a wide range
of engineering, technical, and programmatic support
services for the Navy Virtual SYSCOM Commanders (NAVAIR,
NAVSEA, NAVSUP and SPAWAR) as well as Military Sealift
Command (MSC), Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC), Strategic
Systems Program (SSP), Offttice of Naval Research and
the United States Marine Corps. SeaPort-e furthers
the Navy’s Seapower 21 objectives of facilitating
performance-based service acquisition, leveraging buying
power, improving business intelligence and reducing
cycle time. Thomas Security Consultants contract will have a two-year
base contract period with one five-year option period
and one additional three-year option period. |
